“We are expanding capacity of reinforcing silica to cater to the doubledigit growth in the silica market as a whole material. Today, only high dispersible silica can meet the requirement of a sustainable and renewable material to control Green House effect and lower rolling resistance. In view of this, our entire efforts are being directed towards the rapid development of such important product for environment protection,” explains Ravi Soni. SSPL supplies to both national and international tyre companies such as Apollo Tyres, Bridgestone , Continental Tires, Goodyear, JK Tyre and Metro.
Tie-up with CSIR
Earlier this year, SSPL entered into an agreement with the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), India, as part of its expansion of R&D activities at the company’s proposed R&D centre at its facility in Alwar (Rajasthan). CSIR is offering technical support to SSPL to develop products to meet the needs of eco-friendly materials. It also intends to develop dental grade silica (tooth paste) with improved micro-structured properties, food grade silica, colloidal silica as well as silica. With their over two decades of experience, Green Polymers, a part of Ravi Enterprises, has come up with a new product, Low Melting EVA Bags, which is on high demand in the tyre and rubber industries since it has been recognised to improve quality of rubber mix, economics in mixing, health, safety and environment.
“Application potential of EVA is enormous in pure as well as in blended forms and compatibility of EVA with other low-cost plastics such as LDPE made it more attractive to use without sacrificing the desired quality,” adds Ravi Soni. The initial market of EVA will be the tyre and rubber industry for material holding bag to be used directly in mixing. Ravi Enterprises offers anti-tack solution and water based inner & outer lubes for tyres & rubber industries. The company is also producing various kinds of ecofriendly Marking Cryons, Marking Paints, Drum Stick DS4 etc.
