New Honda Odyssey: Large, family size comfort
The new 2018 Honda Odyssey will redefine family drives. The dynamic, streamlined new front end is book-ended by LED Headlights and an angular new grille. With an available Rear Entertainment System and comfortable seating for up to 8 passengers, the all-new Odyssey has its interior with exclusive new features that give everyone more comfort, more connectivity and more fun.
The SUV has taken in latest safety technology. Honda Sensing is an intelligent suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving, including Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) and Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM).
The infotainment software is all-new and Android-based, designed to resemble the home screen on smartphone. All the major functions have been broken out into apps, each appearing as a tile you can drag around to customise the screen. There are also three favorite slots at the top of the screen that are always present, allowing you to create shortcuts to specific functions such as satellite radio or navigation. Not only does it allow you to pinch, swipe, and drag, but it also actually responds as quickly as a phone screen, something many manufacturers can’t say. Honda even brought back an audio volume knob. Below the screen, hard buttons have been selected for functions Honda thinks you might want to use the minute you get in the car rather than waiting for the infotainment screen to load—climate control and seat heaters/coolers. The system can receive over-the-air software updates from your home Wi-Fi or at the dealer.
